Frutto di una profonda revisione della mweqclasse mwegThecostraca redatta nel 2021 da un gruppo di ricercatori coordinati dal mwewtaiwanese Benny Kwok-Kan Chan, è una delle 65 famiglie e le oltre mwfa2 100 mwfqspecie in cui si suddivide l'intera classe in base ai principali eventi morfologici nell'evoluzione dei mwfgcirripedi proposti alla comunità scientifica.cite-ref-2[2]
